Northmarq is seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Transaction Manager in our Portland office. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of the deal management process from inception to completion. Working closely with our brokers, you will provide exceptional client service, assess needs, and exceed service level expectations. Position Responsibilities:
Listing Agreements Management: Create and manage the listing agreement process with clients.
Timeline Management: Oversee and track the deal(s) timeline, ensuring all deliverables are met promptly.
Client and Broker Support: Assist brokers in cultivating and enhancing client and broker relationships.
Due Diligence: Understand, organize, and disseminate due diligence materials, including environmental reports, appraisals, title issues, and leases.
Documentation: Draft offers, purchase and sale agreements, and transaction notices. Prepare other necessary correspondence related to deals.
Buyer/Offer Process: Manage the buyer/offer process to ensure smooth transactions.
Closing Process: Manage the closing process, including coordination with escrow/title officers, compliance, and commission management.
Communication: Maintain continuous communication with all parties involved in a deal, including clients, brokers, title officers, and lenders.
What We're Looking For:
A bachelor’s degree, in addition to two or more years of experience in commercial real estate, is required.
Strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail, are required.
Working Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate Transactions: Understanding commercial real estate transactions, including legal requirements, documentation, and industry practices, is essential for this role.
Critical Thinking: The ability to think critically is crucial for making informed decisions and solving complex issues that may arise during transactions.
Project Management: Strong project management capabilities are important for organizing and overseeing the various aspects of real estate deals, ensuring they progress smoothly and meet deadlines.
Relationship and Interpersonal Skills: Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, brokers, and other parties involved in transactions is vital for the teams' success. Strong negotiation skills are preferred.
Communication Skills: Effective written and oral communication skills are required to interact with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.
Multitasking: The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is essential in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Technology: Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite. Salesforce and/or Project Management software experience is a plus.
License or Certifications: A broker’s license in Oregon will be required.
